Cracks, Nicks, 'n Chips: A Breaking Up Poem

Cracks in the

crystal,

nicks on the

plate,

chips in the

porcelain;

all signs it’s

too late.

Too much

has been

broken

beyond all

repair;

things marked

fragile,

you chose

to not

handle

with care.

With the hump

gone from

Humpty,

I see nothing

left to do,

but

take the t-y

from

Dumpty,

and get rid

of you.

Cracks in the

crystal,

nicks on the

plate,

chips in the

porcelain;

have all sealed

your fate.
